Contact demonufo. The one I intend to omit is the one that goes directly to the filter cap. I would instead connect the filter cap to pin 6 on V5. Or maybe it might be neater to omit the other one and do the same. Anybody see anything I'm missing? The only reason I wish to do this is space is now at a premium on my next board install, and I doubt I can fit three wires to one turret.
The choke is already going to have to come up through the turret from underneath, and the le on my resistors are pretty wallopingly huge. Thanks for looking guys. So I like purple, okay!!!!!! There's just that fine line between stupid and clever - Nigel Tufnel. Don't think my choke will reach the filter directly though, since it's one of the few original components still in this amp. At least you've set my mind at ease.
I couldn't think of a single electrical reason why not, but just checking whether or not there were any potential noise issues in changing things around.
